Rougier Brothers  was incorporated in October 1901 in Montreal Quebec. Pierre-Victor Rougier was well known in Montreal  having done business for eight years under the name   Royer and Rougier Freres, a French company with a branch in Montreal. They  specialized in importing French products, including pharmaceutical products for the Quebec market.
The Memento Therapeutique was a guide to the therapeutic use of Rougier Brothers products for the health care profession.
The company later grew from exclusively  distributing  French products into a manufacturing company of entirely Quebec pharmaceutical products.
