The Grand:
Located at Boston Avenue and the Boardwalk, the property once known as the The Grand originally opened as the Golden Nugget on December 12, 1980.  In 1983, owner/operator Steve Wynn had the highest earnings in the city.  The property changed hands and was re-branded Bally’s Grand and The Grand from 1987-1996.  From 1996-2011, the property was renamed Atlantic City Hilton.  From 2011-2012 it was called ACH and from 2012-2014 it was re-branded The Atlantic Club.
On January 13, 2014, the property permanently closed and has been sitting vacant.
What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder.  People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of $2, $3, $7, $10, $20, $28, $40, $200 and $300. The most common denomination is $10. Did you know that the older silver strikes have a higher silver content?  As the price of silver increased, the silver content decreased.  Today, many silver strikes are Clad – brass with heavy silver plating.
